At MASH, we're proud to have coaches who are passionate about developing athletes both on and off the field, and Tyler embodies that mission every day. A former collegiate player and dedicated instructor, Tyler brings a servant-leadership mindset to coaching that is rooted in trust, accountability, and player development.

Tyler played collegiately at Lewis University, where he competed as a catcher, first baseman, and designated hitter while earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He completed his degree in just three and a half years and built a reputation as a selfless teammate who consistently put the success of the team ahead of his own accomplishments. His commitment to serving others was recognized in 2022 when he was nominated for the inaugural Lewis University Charlie Award for Unsung Hero and was named a GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree.

Tyler's coaching journey began during his collegiate offseasons with the Northwest Travelers Baseball Club, where he spent five years working with hitters and catchers. Watching players grow from season to season fueled his passion for player development and reinforced his belief that coaching is about much more than baseball.

He later moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where he worked as a hitting instructor at Gradum Gswing. During his time there, Tyler trained baseball and softball athletes who went on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels, along with state champions and All-Conference performers.

What stands out most about Tyler is his genuine investment in the athletes he works with. He is committed to building meaningful relationships with players, helping them develop confidence, improve their skills, and grow as young men and women. Tyler believes that when athletes play with passion, embrace learning, and strive to become the best version of themselves, both individual and team success follow.
